Acne is one of the major problems that haunt most of the youths. Yes, because that is the most acne prone phase of life. How many of you have gone through this horrifying phase?

Well it’s indeed a blessing for those who haven’t come across this nightmare. And for those who are on the verge of falling prey to this painful illness here are some of the preventions that can help you in keeping acne problems away.

1. Keep your skin hydrated. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water because water keeps your skin clear.

2. Wash your face with the right cleanser that matches your skin type.

3. Make sure you include fresh fruits in your diet if you want a healthy looking skin.

4. Cleanse your face with the anti-acne products twice a day, preferably morning and night.

5. Instead of using normal water use rose water to remove makeup.

6. Use a light moisturizer to keep your skin moisturized.

7. While using cosmetics see for products containing Salicylic acid or Benzoyl peroxide or as suggested by your physician.

8. Dandruff is another reason that causes pimples. So if you have dandruff wash your hair every alternate day with anti-dandruff shampoo.

9. Avoid junk food as much as possible if you want to get rid of your pimples.

10. Avoid unhealthy lifestyle and control on dietary habits.

11. Wash pillow covers and towels on regular intervals to kill bacterial infection.

12. Exercise regularly to keep hormonal levels balanced.

13. Avoid touching your pimples, if any.

14. Consult a skin specialist or dermatologist if you are not getting desired results.
